ABOUT US

With a passion for the great outdoors and looking for a new venture, we stumbled upon “Homestead” in July 2015. The property had not been lived in for two years and was pretty much derelict. You could see all the way through to the rafters from the ground floor, the large garden, and wooded pasture were completely over grown, littered with old machines, collapsed outbuildings and with nursery trees bursting out of their plastic pots.

We had a vision and have brought Homestead back to life using my husbands creative talents, local builders and free labour from our twin daughters during school holidays and weekends! It has taken more time than first imagined but we have had fun along the way and it has been a pleasure to see it restored into a fabulous holiday home.

As a fourth generation farming family in the area, we have built up our own network of trusted local businesses who can provide you with everything you need; from catering for large dinner parties, to massage treatments. Just tell us your requirements and we will do our best to help you.

The house is located in a village so we do ask you to be respectful and considerate to our neighbours whilst relaxing especially after hours.

We hope you, your family and friends will love it too and enjoy discovering this beautiful part of North Yorkshire.

Feel welcomed and relaxed in your Yorkshire home

A unique home from home experience, Homestead has been created to give large groups a place to be together, enjoying and exploring North Yorkshire.

So much thought and effort has gone into making this house a real gem. Perfectly located for trips to the seaside or Dalby forest and surrounding area for those keen cyclists and walkers."
