Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a cot or highchair?
Yes, we have one travel cot and one highchair. You are welcome to bring additional travel cots or baby equipment if you require them.
Is the property wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the entrance is wheelchair accessible. Please note there is a gravel drive. There is also a ramp from the kitchen to the raised patio (also gravel).
Does your wheelchair accessible room have grab rails?
No, there are no grab rails.
Can we bring our dogs?
Yes, we are very happy to welcome your dogs. We do make a small charge per dog. They are not allowed upstairs. We can supply dog towels if required.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, we ask for a £500 damage deposit to be made by bank transfer into a separate holding account before you arrive. You will receive an email when this is due. The deposit will be returned within 7 days of the end of your stay unless notified.
What deposit is required to secure a booking?
We ask for a £500 deposit per stay, which is non-refundable. If you need to change the dates, then we are happy to accommodate your request subject to availability.
When is the balance of our stay due?
You will be sent an email with a payment button 60 days before arrival.
Do you supply ice?
Yes! Our American style fridge freezer makes both ice cubes and crushed ice – perfect for your Gin and Tonics or Mojitos.
Can you recommend some things to do whilst we are staying at Yorkshire Homestead?

Can we decorate the property for a birthday, anniversary or hen party?
We are happy for guests to use pins in the woodwork to hang decorations and banners. You may arrive an hour early by prior arrangement if desired. We don’t decorate the house at Christmas but we can do at extra cost. We’d be pleased to discuss your requirements with you.
What time can we check in?
You may arrive from 4pm. We like to prepare Yorkshire to a high standard to make certain that it is perfect for your arrival. Please let us know if you plan to arrive later than 6pm.

Home Comforts Included
We provide dressing gowns, towels, bedding, hair driers and toiletries as well as logs for the inside log burner and outside hot tub
Online Food Deliveries
Hot Tub Ready on Arrival
If you would like us to preheat your Wood fired hot tub so it is ready for your arrival then we can do this for a £30 fee as it takes up to 6 hours to fully heat.
Chef to cook inhouse
If you would like to treat yourselves to having a meal cooked and served one evening then please ask for our recommended chefs.
